Hayden's Ferry Review

Hayden’s Ferry Review (HFR) has been in circulation out of Arizona State University since 1986. Currently in its issue 45 (Fall-Winter 2009-10) the magazine has gradually moved towards putting emphasis on publishing international voices, translations, and accepting on-line submissions only after May 2010 via a “submissions manager” found in their web site http://www.asu.edu/clas/pipercwcenter/publications/haydensferryreview The link is http://submit.haydensferryreview.asu.edu/ They also have an energetic blog at haydensferryreview.blogspot.com

Since their editorial board changes often, and this is done on purpose, the style also varies, nevertheless quality is a criterion that never changes. HFR prefers new voices but also publish the likes of Yusef Komunyakaa, Rita Dove, and John Updike. Alberto Rios is currently the editorial board advisor. For poetry submissions, send 6 poems in one single doc, rtf or pdf. For prose send fiction or non-fiction in one single file (no maximum or minimum word count) in the same formats. There is a call for translations (April 2010) that capture the cultural essence of the translated poet and which presents to the USA audience work that is not available in English.
HFR has received high praise for its quality of visual and written content from many prestigious publications.

Consistent with its modernization policy, HFR has a presence in Blogger, Facebook, and Twitter.
